Hello! My name is Megan and I am a PhD student in the Roberts Lab in the School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences, University of Washington. My research interests are in applied ecophysiology: understanding both how and why organisms interact with, and respond to, their environments, and how we can use this information to improve aquatic resource management. Currently, my research focuses on improving environmental resilience in clams through induced stress memory with applications for improving bivalve aquaculture and restoration in a changing climate. In addition to research, I am devoted to developing my teaching and mentorship skills, and am grateful for the many opportunities I’ve had to do so through TAing, instructing, hosting k-12 outreach activities, and serving as a mentor for the GRFP application workshop each fall. When I’m not in the lab or classroom, you can find me snowboarding, surfing, or climbing :D
Please feel free to reach out with any research or teaching inquiries!
